ONEWS-ID.COM (SERANG) – Menteri Sosial (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini memuji program Bhakti Sosial Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI) karena organisasi pers ini membangun peradaban melalui membangun jalan dan sarana sanitasi dalam rangka Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) 2021.
Hal itu diungkapkan Risma saat meresmikan jalan dan sarana sanitasi yang terletak di Kampung Jaha, Desa Pagar Agung, Kecamatan Walantaka, Kota Serang, Banten, Minggu (7/2/2021).
Mantan Wali Kota Surabaya dua periode itu mengaku program SMSI ini membuat warga dapat merasakan akses untuk aktivitas sehari-hari.
“Bagi saya ini menarik karena jarang sekali ada inisiatif dari luar selain pemerintah untuk membangun jalan. Saya baru tahu setelah 20 tahun jadi PNS dan 10 tahun jadi wali kota, itu ada pihak lain di luar pemerintah bangun jalan lalu diserahkan kepada pemerintah. Saya jadi Wali Kota Surabaya 10 tahun itu bangun jalan sepanjang 350 km. SMSI sekali tepuk bangun jalan 750 meter. Saya tertarik dengan konsep SMSI dalam memberikan sumbangan yang berbeda. Bangun jalan itu sama dengan kita membangun peradaban Jika jalan dibangun maka peradaban berubah,” tutur Tri Rismaharini.
Ia pun berterima kasih keada SMSI yang telah membantu warga.
“Saya berterima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya untuk SMSI yang telah bantu masyarakat. Dulu sewaktu saya jadi wali kota itu saya dahulukan bangun infrastruktur di kampung-kampung,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Banten Dr Al Muktabar memberikan apresiasi kepada SMSI atas program bakti sosial yang telah dilakukan.
“Terima kasih kepada SMSI atas program bakti sosial yang telah dilakukan dan langsung dirasakan oleh warga Provinsi Banten,” ujarnya.
Di tempat yang sama, Wakil Ketua Dewan Pers, Hendry Ch Bangun mengaku Dewan Pers berharap apa yang dilakukan SMSI dapat dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat.
“Ini juga menunjukkan pers tidak dilihat sebagai pihak yang melihat dari jauh tetapi melakukan kegiatan yang dirasakan langsung masyarakat,” ungkapnya.
Ketua Umum SMSI Pusat, Firdaus mengatakan SMSI yang beranggotakan 1.224 perusahaan media siber itu memperingati HPN 2021, salah satunya dengan melakukan kegiatan bakti sosial yang meliputi pembangunan jalan dan sarana sanitasi Mandi Cucu Kakus (MCK).
“Sebagai organisasi konstituen Dewan Pers, SMSI ingin membawa angin baru dalam HPN 2021 sehingga tak lagi terfokus pada acara serimonial namun bersama-sama melakukan kegiatan yang bermanfaat untuk masyarakat,” katanya.
Sebelumnya, Ketua Panitia Pelaksana HPN 2021 – SMSI, M Nasir menjelaskan pembangunan jalan tersebut sudah dimulai beberapa pekan lalu yang diawali dengan pembebasan lahan, perataan tanah dan penebangan pohon.
“Pelaksanaan pembangunan proyek sosial itu ditangani SMSI Pusat dan juga SMSI Provinsi Banten yang paling dekat dengan lokasi proyek tersebut serta didukung sepenuhnya oleh PT Dwi Ratna Putra,” katanya.
Selain pembangunan jalan sepanjang 750 meter dan lebar 2,5 meter, SMSI di lokasi yang sama juga sementara membangun 16 unit MCK.
Sebagaimana diketahui, perhelatan HPN tahun 2021 memiliki nuansa tersendiri dibandingkan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Apalagi berlangsung ditengah pandemic Covid-19.
Bagi SMSI tahun ini merupakan perhelatan HPN pertama bagi organisasi perusahaan media siber setelah resmi menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers. (***)
